About the app
What is Loop Mind?
Loop Mind is a thinking tracker for overthinkers. You check in by voice or by typing, and Loop Mind reads the entry back to you with structure: the loops it's running, what's fact and what's belief, and one question that steps out of the loop. Over the weeks, Patterns and your Mind Profile show you the shape of your thinking.
Who is Loop Mind for?
People whose mind replays conversations, rehearses what-ifs, gets stuck on decisions, or won't shut off at 2 AM. Loop Mind is built for the overthinker who has tried journaling apps and stopped using them by week two.
How is Loop Mind different from therapy?
Loop Mind is a reflection tool, not therapy. It helps you notice the patterns in your thinking. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace working with a clinician. If you are seeing a therapist, Loop Mind can sit alongside that work, not instead of it.
Is Loop Mind based on real psychology?
The seven loops Loop Mind names (retrospective, anticipatory, decisional, self-evaluative, relational, existential, and health and somatic) draw on published research, including Nolen-Hoeksema's work on rumination, Perlis on pre-sleep cognitive arousal, and Clark and Wells on post-event processing. The blog covers the research underneath each loop.
Using the app
Why voice journaling instead of typing?
Overthinkers rarely have the energy to type at 2 AM. Talking is faster, has less friction, and is closer to the way the loop actually sounds in your head. Typing is there too if you prefer it, and Loop Mind reads both the same way.
Does Loop Mind work without an internet connection?
You can check in offline. A voice recording is saved on your phone and written up as soon as you're back online, and your Journal and recent Patterns stay readable. Transcription and Loop Mind's read need a connection, because they run in the cloud.
Does Loop Mind work for people with ADHD?
Yes. It's built around how ADHD brains tend to work: short check-ins, no rigid format, no streaks to keep. Daily check-in reminders are a single nudge you can change or switch off, not something to feel guilty about missing. The blog has articles on ADHD shame spirals, time blindness, and rejection sensitivity.
Is Loop Mind on Android or web?
Loop Mind is iPhone-only today, on iOS 15 or later. Android is on the roadmap, we do not have a date yet. There is no web version.
What happens if I share something really heavy?
If an entry sounds like a crisis, Loop Mind says plainly that it isn't the right tool for that moment and shows helplines for your country. They work offline, and they're always in Profile under Crisis Resources.
Privacy, AI, and your data
Is what I say in Loop Mind private?
Your entries are private to your account and encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell your data, there are no ads, and our analytics never include what you say. The full data handling is documented in the privacy policy.
Does Loop Mind use AI to read my entries?
Yes, with your consent. Voice recordings are transcribed by Google Gemini through a zero-data-retention endpoint on OpenRouter, then deleted. The text of your entry is sent to Gemini, also through OpenRouter, to write Loop Mind's read on it. You can withdraw AI consent any time in Profile, then Account & Security, without deleting your account.
How do I delete my account and my data?
In the app, go to Profile, then Account & Security, then Delete Account. Your entries and profile are permanently deleted. You can export everything first from the same screen, or email support@loopmind.care to request deletion.
Can I export my entries?
Yes. In Profile, then Account & Security, Export Data saves your entries, with Loop Mind's read on each, as CSV files you can keep or open in a spreadsheet.
What does Loop Mind cost?
Loop Mind is free to download and free to use, with up to 3 check-ins a day and Loop Mind's read on every entry. Clarity, the subscription, adds your monthly summaries, every deep dive and more room to check in, and you can try it free for 7 days. You'll find the plans in the app.
